Endoscopic Working Channels

International Polymer Engineering's patented FluoroFlex endoscopic working channels (EWC) are constructed with an inner layer of solid PTFE while the outer layer is porous PTFE with a spiral support incorporated into the structure for radial support of the inner layer. The outer porous PTFE layer acts like a spring wrap providing kink and compression resistance.

The inherent lubricity of the PTFE inner layer allows instruments to pass freely with minimal resistance. Both the inner and outer layers of material have a long history of use in medical products. The finished channels maintain integrity throughout sterilization procedures and allow flex angles of up to 210 degrees. Click here for standard sizes.
